The Mingan Archipelago

The Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve is characterized by the greatest concentration of eroded monoliths in Canada. Composed of over a thousand islands and islets, this park is sure to captivate you as you observe its giant limestone formations, diverse ecological areas, rich flora and myriad species of seabirds. The lighthouse stations are reminiscent of this region's maritime history and recall the lifestyles of the lighthouse keepers.

Head out for a hike: bring warm clothes, put on some walking shoes and take along some goodies so you can have a picnic en route. Don't forget your binoculars, your water bottle and your camera - you never know what you'll see on the way! If you don't want to miss anything, take part in a guided discovery activity.

To make the most of your vacation to the Mingan Islands, pitch a tent and spend the night. Campsites are spread out over six islands for peaceful stays full of discovery. If you prefer to travel light, choose the ready-to-camp oTENTik tents. These tents are furnished, heated, lit and have small terraces. They can house up to six people and are ideal for fun with family and friends. Even the barbecue is provided!

Don't forget to arrange your transportation to the islands with the certified maritime companies and make a stop at the reception and interpretation centre at Havre-Saint-Pierre or Longue-Pointe-de-Mingan.
