Description

St Amelie Church, an Accredited Museum Institution, is a Don Bellot style historical building located in the heart of the heritage district, the cradle of the Town of Baie-Comeau. Built entirely of stunning pink granite from the North Shore, it is the church's interior that is its most striking feature. It is decorated with magnificent large frescoes and 45 stained-glass windows by world-renowned, Italian-born artist Guido Nincheri, known as ''the Michelangelo of Montreal''. In addition, come discover the exhibition, in the secrecy of the confessionals, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the artist's death.
