Fruit and Vegetable Department Supervisor

We are seeking a supervisor for the produce department of a grocery store.

Full-time position, 40 hours/week. Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the possibility of weekend work if needed.

Starting salary of $19.00 per hour. The supervisor is responsible for managing the department and its employees.

The supervisor's duties include:

• Supervising staff
• Assigning tasks to department clerks
• Hiring, training, or delegating staff training
• Ordering merchandise
• Authorizing merchandise returns
• Establish work schedules
• Preparing reports on sales figures, merchandising techniques, and staff-related issues
• Resolving problems that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
• Organizing and maintaining an up-to-date inventory
• Supervising and coordinating staff activities
• Preparing cut fruit and vegetable platters
