NATURE OF THE WORK
The primary and usual role of the person in this job class is to perform a set of administrative tasks of a relatively complex nature according to established methods and procedures and secretarial work.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Main tasks
- Perform accounting operations of a relatively complex nature and ensure compliance with standards and procedures;
- Make certain purchases of low value;
- Perform audit work and control payments;
- Prepare and make deposits and reconcile accounts;
- Perform remuneration-related tasks and perform various tasks related to the application of the terms and conditions of employment of the staff of his/her administrative unit or the college;
- Carry out part or all of the work in a sector of activity;
- Transcribe texts and reproduce various tables and graphs;
- Maintain databases, an inventory of documents required by users, certain files of the people they assist and their agendas;
- Organize meetings, convene participants and prepare the necessary files;
- To welcome people, to provide information within his/her competence and to guide them within the study centre;
- Researching and gathering information to include in correspondence or reports;
- Assort, classify and locate documents according to established methods;
- Introduce new people to work;
- Use the information and communication technological tools made available to him/her in connection with the work to be carried out;
- As required, perform any other related duties.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
Education and Experience
Hold a diploma of professional studies in secretarial studies or hold a diploma or attestation of studies whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority; and have one (1) year of relevant experience.
Other requirements
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
- Be proficient in the French language (oral and written);
- Know the principles of layout and text layout;
- Know the basic principles of accounting.
Candidates may be subject to tests on the requirements of the job.
SALARY AND HOURS
Salary: between $22.36 and $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Start date: as soon as possible
