Day 1 - Port-Menier

First immersion on Anticosti Island

You will arrive in Port-Menier on an Air Liaison flight in the early afternoon, the gateway to Anticosti Island. Upon arrival, a transfer will take you to your inn, where you can settle in comfortably. You will then have some free time to discover this unique village at your own pace. Visit the UNESCO interpretation centre, which tells the fascinating history of the island and highlights its rich ecological and fossil-bearing environments. Take time as well to stroll through the small local shops and soak in the peaceful atmosphere of this extraordinary place. A gentle first day to begin your Anticosti adventure.

DAY 2 - Discover the Island

Anticosti National Park: in the heart of vast landscapes

Set off on a guided excursion to the spectacular Anticosti National Park, located about 160 km from the village. Along the way, discover the wild and breathtaking landscapes that make the island so renowned. On the program: a short hike in Observation Canyon, followed by a locally inspired picnic overlooking the majestic Vauréal Falls, one of Anticosti's natural gems. The day continues with stops at the Carleton Lighthouse and Baie de la Tour, two iconic and historic sites. After this day full of discoveries, return to Port-Menier in the late afternoon for a well-deserved evening.

DAY 3 - Western sector visit - Departure to the mainland

From Anticosti to Sept-Îles: between history and new horizons

In the morning, depart at 8:00 a.m. for a three-hour guided excursion in the western part of the island. You will discover the remains of the former villages of Anse-aux-Fraises and Baie-Sainte-Claire, as well as the Pointe Ouest Lighthouse. A seaside hike completes this immersion into Anticosti's history and wild landscapes. Back at your lodge, transfer to the Port-Menier airport for your flight with Air Liaison to the mainland, heading to Sept-Îles. Upon arrival, pick up your rental car, followed by a visit to the Regional Museum and the Old Trading Post to continue exploring the region. Check in at your hotel for the night.

DAY 4 - Sept-Îles to Rivière-au-Tonnerre

Sept-Îles Archipelago and Arrival in Minganie

Set off on a boat excursion through the stunning Sept-Îles Archipelago, a must-see of the Côte-Nord where marine landscapes and wild islets meet. Along the way, stop to admire the Manitou Falls, an impressive natural site. At the end of the day, continue on to Rivière-au-Tonnerre, the true gateway to Minganie. Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome cocktail, followed by a visit to the village's charming church, known for its unique architecture. The evening concludes with a seafood dinner before heading to your hotel for the night.

DAY 5 - Encounter with the puffins of the Mingan Islands

Longue-Pointe-de-Mingan: marine encounters and sculpted landscapes

Arrival in Longue-Pointe-de-Mingan, the starting point for an exceptional day of exploration. Set out on an excursion in the archipelago, western sector, to discover unique marine landscapes. Meet the famous puffins of Île aux Perroquets, then admire the impressive monoliths of Île Nue, true natural sculptures shaped by time and the elements. This excursion is also an opportunity to learn more about the marine mammals that inhabit the region's waters. To complete the experience, enjoy a tasting of sea urchin, a surprising and refined local specialty. At the end of the day, settle into your cottage for a peaceful evening in the heart of Minganie.

DAY 6 - End of Route 138

Heading toward the end of Route 138: heritage and iconic villages

Discover Kegaska and the Brion site before continuing on to the Vigneault Houses and the Old School, important witnesses to the region's history and culture. In the afternoon, enjoy free time to explore Natashquan, an iconic village of the Côte-Nord and a cultural birthplace rich in memory and traditions. Check-in and overnight stay at the inn.

DAY 7 - Havre-Saint-Pierre

In the heart of the Mingan Islands

Return to Havre-Saint-Pierre with a visit to the Maison Roland Jomphe, a tribute to the region's artist and builder. Then set out on an excursion in the central sector of the Mingan Archipelago, to meet the mythical Dame Niapiskau and the impressive monoliths of Quarry Island, true works sculpted by time. Check-in and overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 8 - Return journey

Already the end!

It's time to head back to Sept-Îles. Upon arrival, return your rental car, then fly back home. A gentle end to your stay, with your heart full of unforgettable memories of the Côte-Nord.
