Description

Located on the banks of the Outardes River, just one hour from Baie-Comeau, this unique site offers an immersion into Innu culture and the traditional nomadic way of life.

Through seasonally adapted activities, visitors discover the core values of the nomads: community life, mutual support, and respect. These experiences come to life in heritage sites such as the Uamastakenis portage, where the surrounding nature becomes a true living museum.

In addition to cultural and outdoor activities, the camp offers accommodations in a prospector-style tent dormitory that can host up to six people. This authentic setting encourages sharing and exchanges, providing an opportunity to explore a history still too little known, yet essential to the identity of both Québec and the Côte-Nord.

The Camp Innu Uamastakenis promises a stay rich in discoveries, meaningful encounters, and deeper understanding.
