Description

Côte-Nord is home to a 300-km segment of Québec's renowned Route Verte cycling route, from Tadoussac and Sacré-Coeur to Baie-Trinité. Known as the Cyclingpath of the Whales, it runs along the St. Lawrence River past lakes, rivers, and mountains. Over 90% of the Whale Trail is on a shoulder of Route 138 that's at least one metre wide. However, several sections take you into villages along the way. You can also do loops if you use ferry services from south-shore  towns like Rivière-du-Loup, Trois-Pistoles, Rimouski, or Matane, or from north-shore  towns like Saint-Siméon, Les Escoumins, Forestville, Baie-Comeau, or Godbout. All the information you need to plan your trip is on a cycling map, which you can order by calling 1 888 463-5319 or visiting the VéloRoute des Baleines website (English infos now available). Welcome !
