Description

The construction of Château Menier began in 1899 and lasted five years. In 1953, the abandoned luxury villa was deliberately burned to the ground. The Château's foundations, uncovered in 1991, bear witness to the size of this impressive structure, the largest ever built on the island. Wandering around, you can learn further by reading the interpretation pannels. There are also picnic tables, a sanitary block and a pit latrine. During winter, you can snoeshoe around this area.
