Description
A site frequented by the Innu for millennia, a historic site of the fur trade in New France and now the site of a summer annual pilgrimage to Saint-Anne, the Îlets-Jérémie, along Route 138, is a place to explore ! There is a chapel, rebuilt in 1939 on the model of the one in Tadoussac, but whose altar and bell tower cross date from the 18th century, as well as an old Innu cemetery. To the left of the chapel on the Chemin des Îlets, enjoy a direct access to a beautiful and long beach. Then, on the same Chemin behind the chapel, take the short but charming hiking trail leading to a marine and birdwatching observation platform. The Îlets-Jérémies are yours to discover !
