Les Fleurs du Malt, created in 2022 in Port Cartier, was born from the desire to make a difference within its community, to develop new business models and to find solutions to environmental issues.
Our mission is to develop food products designed with valued ingredients with the aim of reducing food waste. We work with local companies to develop tasty products, which in addition to having a positive impact for the planet, offer a significant nutritional contribution.
In collaboration with the La Compagnie de Sept-Îles microbrewery, we have developed ready-to-cook pancake, muffin and brownie mixes. Our mixtures are made from spent grain flour (cereals from the brewing of beer naturally rich in fiber and protein).
We also work on the recovery of downgraded fruits and vegetables.
