Description

The Mingan Archipelago encompasses roughly 20 limestone islands and over a thousand granite islets stretching along the coast between the villages of Longue-Pointe-de-Mingan and Aguanish. It includes the largest concentration of erosion monoliths in Canada, a wide variety of plant life, many bird species and two lighthouses. Some of the islands have lookouts, marked hiking trails, picnic areas and shelters. While you're there, take part in one of the proposed activities or go on a hike or picnic. Treat yourself to a night of primitive camping, stay in an oTENTik ready-to-camp unit, an Ôasis or at the inn on Île aux Perroquets.

Visit our Reception and Interpretation centres and our Website to have more information about the activities and services offered by Parks Canada or to obtain a camping permit.

To get to the islands, contact a boat operator.
