Description

Les Galets, this village within a village, was designated as a cultural asset by the Québec government. The name refers to both the fishing sheds themselves, built 150 years ago, and the stone island upon which they stand, mute witness to a long-gone way of life. Their presence brings back fond memories of a time when people could earn a living from cod fishing in Natashquan.
